MBOUNCE Version 1.01
by Eric Jacksch
1:163/111
Occasionally in Fidonet, we run across a fellow sysop whose
messages are just plain obnoxious, or who attempts to route
messages through a system that he or she should not. Some sysops
attempt to password out such a node. However, this can cause
other problems, and the sysop in question can always route mail
to you via another node. In order to lower your blood pressure,
let me introduce MBOUNCE V 1.01, a simple, yet effective, return
to sender utility.
MBOUNCE V 1.01 is intended to return to sender mail from a single
system. It is command line driven as follows:
MBOUNCE <path> <bounce net/node> <your net/node> [-killsent]
where
<path> is the complete path to your netmail area,
<bounce net/node> is the origin of annoyances,
<your net/node> is your network address, and,
[-killsent] is an option flag to set the KillSent bit. Normally
MBOUNCE sets only the private bit. If -k or -killsent is
specified, both the private and KillSent bit will be set.
Example:
MBOUNCE d:\mail\net 163/10 163/111 -k
would return to sender any message arriving on my system
addressed from 163/10 and set the killsent bit. Note that the
destination address is *not* checked. The 163/111 on the command
line is used only to set the origin address of the return
message. Thus, this would return *any* message in my netmail
area originating from 163/10.
